Common questions
- How do I report a post, an event, or a person?
- On a story, tap ••• and choose Report. On an event, use Report this event at the bottom of the page. On someone’s profile, tap Report. Reporting needs an account: if you aren’t signed in, the app asks you to sign in first, then sends your report. Reports are private. Nobody is told who sent one.
- How do I block or mute someone?
- Open their profile and tap Block or Mute. Blocking means you won’t see anything they share, and they won’t be able to find you in the app. Muting takes their posts out of your feed.
- How do I delete my account?
- In the app, go to You, then Settings, then Your account, then Delete account. Your profile, saves, plans, follows, and posts are removed, and you’re signed out. This can’t be undone.
- How does the app use my location?
- Only if you allow it, and only while the app is open. iOS asks for your approximate location by default, and the app rounds your position to about a kilometer before using it, even if you turn on Precise Location in iOS Settings. Your location is never stored. In the app, under Settings, Privacy & location, you can pick your neighborhood instead, or turn location off for the app in iOS Settings.
- Does the app read my calendar?
- No. On iOS 17 and later, Add to calendar opens the iOS New Event sheet, and only what you confirm there is added. On iOS 15 and 16, the app offers the event as a calendar file in the share sheet instead, and you choose where it goes.
- My sign-in email didn’t arrive.
- Check your spam folder for the link and make sure the address is spelled right. You can also use Sign in with Apple.
- What happened to the post I shared?
- Your profile shows its status. In review: a person reads every post before it goes out. Live: people can see it. Needs a detail: we need a little more; the note says what. Not posted: it didn’t fit what we share here; the note says why.
- Why don’t I get notifications?
- They aren’t in this version yet. The choices you make in Settings are saved for when they arrive.
- The map looks quiet near me.
- Bloomscroll covers Miami for now. Try a wider distance or a different day in the filters, or tap I need something good and then Look farther.
